• Amanda Morrall

    Amanda moved to New Zealand in 2007 from Canada where her love for yoga began to deepen. While working full-time as a business features writer for the Christchurch Press and columnist for the Sunday News, she embarked on her teacher training path completing her 200 hours in Byron Bay. She continued to work as a journalist and teach on the side for several years and in 2012 left her full-time job as personal finance editor for interest.co.nz to pursue yoga on a full-time basis. By the time she switched tracks, Amanda had become a regular commentator on TV One’s Good Morning and Breakfast shows, a published author (Money Matters Get Your Life and $ Sorted), and public speaker on personal finance matters. Amanda acquired The Yoga Tree in December 2014 so she could base herself out of one location, and juggle the demands of being a mother to two young boys. Her vision for The Yoga Tree is to breathe new life into this long-time Takapuna studio and to make it a place of connection, community, wellness and spiritual advancement. Amanda encourages her students to utilise the tools of yoga to find their passion, purpose and a greater sense of peace and engagement with life.  Her teacher training includes pregnancy yoga, Vinyasa Flow and meditation.

  • Fleur Blackall

    Fleur grew up on the North Shore in Auckland. Whilst studying Science and Business at the University of Auckland, Fleur  found  a passion for the practice of yoga and the sense of calm and peace that it brought about. Fleur went on to become a qualified 200 hour yoga teacher through Jayayoga, and extended her training to Pregnacy yoga through Bliss Baby. A love of all practices of yoga, Fleur sees the importance in taking time out for ones self, slowing down, and making space. 

  • Tarryn Bellingham

    Tarryn is a 200 hour certified yoga teacher through Jayayoga with a particular interest in Yin, Pranayama and Meditation.  Tarryn believes that yoga gives you the ultimate gift of presence.   When you are in a state of calm, your parasympathetic nervous system is activated and tangible healing occurs.  It is that simple yet that profound.

    Tarryn loves that no matter what state you arrive in on your mat, the practice of breathe, movement and clarity allows you to shift what no longer serves you.  It’s an ongoing journey of the self that she feels blessed to be able to facilitate for her students. 

    Tarryn is also a life coach and presenter, wife to Matt, mum to her toddler Ruby and Step mum to Eva and Sophie.

  • Perry Macdonald

    Perry is a 500 hour YTY certified instructor who specialises in yoga therapy and Ayurveda Medicine, running her own clinic and teaching privately and publicly at various venues. The Yoga Tree is very pleased to have her on board.  Perry's qualifications include a NZCS (majoring in biochemistry and microbiology),  Naturopath  Diploma, Certificate of Ayurveda Lifestyle Consultancy, Diploma of Ayurveda Medicine.
