Restorative Yoga

Stretch your body but still your mind in this calming Restorative Yoga class.

Restorative Yoga is a wonderful way to escape from the rushed pace of our daily lives. During a restorative yoga class the student is fully supported in their yoga postures using ‘props’ like blankets, bolsters, straps and chairs, these enable the body to stay in the poses for longer allowing the muscles to fully relax and the bones and organs to gently realign. Combining these supported yoga postures with conscious breathing stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing the organs of the body to work to their maximum efficiency. In this way, Restorative Yoga rejuvenates and restores both the physical and mental body leaving you feeling relaxed and renewed.

Each yoga class will include poses that stretch and gently move the spine, gentle twists and forward bends to flush toxins from the body, simple inversions to counter the effects of gravity, and improve the body’s circulation of fluids.  All this with no pain and everything to gain! Restorative yoga is for all levels and all ages.

Thursdays 7-8.30pm - no booking req.
$17 casual; $75/5; $130/10; concessions available
